  2. Fly Honey Warehouse was derived from a song that randomly played during a night in the dorms. We had several options, one of the best being The Magic School Bus (Cara was going to be Miss Frizzle, Bailey was on the fence between Wanda and Arnold’s cousin). Then the song by the same name came on, and we had our show.

  3. We sought out as much music as we could. We shared with eachother what we’ve been listening to before our lives existed together. This was the foundation of my musical collection and what stemmed my, and our, drive for our next obsessions. Our school was somehow perfectly located in Central New York for every band to come and play in a 70 mile radius. There was a show every other weekend at this school in Ithica, or a concert we needed to see at that place in Buffalo. Never ones to turn down a road trip, our four years together saw us riding all over the state, and once on a 7 hour excursion to the Great White North.

  4. This was our shows first radio flyer. It was up to us to promote the show throughout the campus. Between the three of us we knew it was our duty to get as many people listening to our show as possible. How could we not share our amazing taste in music with these people who need to hear it?! In the case of Cara and I we were the fresh faced new art students with the music collections of gold. Together we were the best thing for the station, self promoters of not just our show but the radio itself. Maybe it’s legend now, but for those four years our show ran we were the most listened to thing around. The flyers did there job well.

  5. A long time ago I had a radio show. Cara, my art pal (nothing is deeper than art friends, blood pact forever!) myself, and our friend Bailey hosted a weekly 2 hour show in our undergraduate adventures. It was our life for a long time, spending hours on playlists and finding new stuff, exploring the dungeons massive CD wall. We worked hard on it but soon learned through experience and as we were getting older that the music shouldn’t be work. By the time we were seniors we had multiple rotations under our belt, a string of guest hosts, and a new studio. Near the end it was less work and more about just playing what we liked, we were no longer so safe with our music plays to adhere to the rules of the radio or too out there to try and give us street cred. It was just about blasting that feel good tune every week. Music brought us together.
