1. Behind the fountain and completely hidden by trees and fenced off across the river is the old Band stand. Apparently it used to be in use a little while ago but then closed for budget reasons or whatever. Now it’s dilapidated and very gloomy with all the dead trees and leaves around it. A rather creepy place at night, I’d walk on the opposite side of Kelvin Way when making the trek to Great Western.

  2. The Kelvingrove Fountain is just to the right of the skate park. During the summer we’d meet by it for picnics and to hang in the sun; any sunny day and we’d make the most of the opportunity. During winter I built a rather large igloo beside it with the help of some classmates. Needless to say the igloo didn’t survive the night thanks to some Neds and buckfast.
