Behind the fountain and completely hidden by trees and fenced off across the river is the old Band stand. Apparently it used to be in use a little while ago but then closed for budget reasons or whatever. Now it’s dilapidated and very gloomy with all the dead trees and leaves around it. A rather creepy place at night, I’d walk on the opposite side of Kelvin Way when making the trek to Great Western.

The Kelvingrove Fountain is just to the right of the skate park. During the summer we’d meet by it for picnics and to hang in the sun; any sunny day and we’d make the most of the opportunity. During winter I built a rather large igloo beside it with the help of some classmates. Needless to say the igloo didn’t survive the night thanks to some Neds and buckfast.

This is Glasgow University. It’s located on top of a hill behind Kelvingrove, only about a 5 minute walk from my flat. My flatmate went here to learn things and study stuff. I used it as a marker to judge where I was distance wise in the city, because you can see the tower from just about anywhere in Glasgow. Apparently Hogwarts is supposed to have been inspired by this building, which is completely believable.

This is the Kelvingrove Art Museum. It’s a large building at the beginning of the Kelvingrove Park next to the Kelvin River on top of the Kelvin Bridge coming from Kelvin Way (it’s very presumptuous). My flat was across the street a block away. At night the building is lit up with deep red and purple lights, making it look like Dracula’s Castle.

This is George Square. Next to it is the GoMA. with the statue that perpetually has a construction cone on it’s head. Both are at the beginning of Merchant City, lots of bars and restaurants and the like.

Illustrating different buildings in Glasgow. This is the Glasgow Cathedral in the East End in front of the Necropolis. When you see it in person from the hills behind the massive graves, it feels like the Church of Satan. It’s beautiful ~

This makes me want to try draw buildings. Such a mysterious atmosphere. *.*
This is my favorite part of E-bro, and some really good pubs just around the corner.
