This is Glasgow University. It’s located on top of a hill behind Kelvingrove, only about a 5 minute walk from my flat. My flatmate went here to learn things and study stuff. I used it as a marker to judge where I was distance wise in the city, because you can see the tower from just about anywhere in Glasgow. Apparently Hogwarts is supposed to have been inspired by this building, which is completely believable.

That sketch I uploaded earlier in the week of the city is now a vector. These are two designs I’m just about to finish up for a 7” cover. When it’s up I’ll post it. Please vote for the finished product if you like it, cause I like you XXXX
Yes, that is the Empire State Building with a wig.

I’m working on a small cityscape for an album cover. This is just the sketch with some photoshop treatment to get the blurred layer effects. Depth is always nice.

Vector layout of the town featured in the fourth piece. In fact it is almost an exact replica of downtown Plattsburgh, where I grew up in New York. I got so much more involved than I thought I would, thinking that the monument would be the extent of the work but then the town hall came along and Trinity Park and the surrounding restaurants. I got carried away. But it turned out quite well! Textures added post Illustrator near the end of the project.

I love long format! This is super cool. I also love imaginary cities and this takes the cake for research and amount of work. Cripes! I need a lesson or two.
